At MKPDesign, we don’t just add square metres. We rethink how the entire home works around you. How you move through it, how each space connects and how it supports the way you live every day. The result isn’t simply more room. It’s a home that feels considered, comfortable and completely your own.
Every project begins by understanding what isn’t working and what you genuinely want to change. Sometimes the answer is an extension. Sometimes a more intelligent internal layout can achieve far more. We explore the possibilities carefully and recommend the approach that will make the greatest difference to your home.
We don’t say yes to everything. If something doesn’t work, we’ll tell you and explain why. Getting it right matters more than simply getting it done. Every wall, opening and detail should have a purpose, because the best homes are not overdesigned. They are thought through properly.

We guide you through every stage with clarity, honesty and experience. No guesswork. Just a process that works.
Feasibility
We start with a free online consultation where we check your property and assess whether your extension is likely to be possible. Honest advice from the very beginning.
Brief & Survey
Once you accept our quote, we arrange a site visit. We discuss how you live, what isn't working and what you want to achieve. This is where the project begins to take shape.
Design
We design your project to suit your brief and what can be approved. We present the design and refine it together until it's exactly right before submission.
Planning
We prepare and submit your planning application. It takes 1 week to validate and 8 weeks for a decision. We manage all communication with the council and resolve any issues.
Technical Package
Once approved, we prepare the full technical package including everything your builder needs to price and build. In some cases, we can start this stage earlier.
Construction Support
We offer support and advice throughout the build. When challenges come up, we're here to find the right solutions and keep things moving forward.
