Who We Are
MKPDesign is a residential architecture practice working across London and neighbouring boroughs. Since 2019, we have helped homeowners understand what their property could become, and how to make it happen properly.
We specialise in extensions, loft conversions, new homes and complete reconfigurations. Every project begins with the same question: what would make the greatest difference to the way this home is lived in?
We understand that, for many of our clients, this is the first time they have worked with an architect or taken on a project of this scale. It is your home and your hard-earned money at stake. Our role is to remove the pressure, take responsibility for the process and guide the project forward, so you are never left trying to work everything out for yourself.
Good architecture requires more than a strong design. It requires a thorough understanding of planning, technical design and the people needed to bring a project to life. We coordinate the right professionals, challenge ideas when we believe there is a better solution and give every project the time and attention it deserves.

Founder & Lead Designer
Led by Mustapha Kerkoud
Mustapha founded MKPDesign in 2019 after completing his undergraduate and Master’s degrees in Architecture at Kingston University and gaining experience within established architectural practices.
He believes homeowners need more from an architect than drawings and a planning application. They need someone who can recognise the potential of their property, guide them through a significant investment and take responsibility for moving the project in the right direction.
An extension or loft conversion can completely transform a home, but the new space must work with what is already there. Mustapha considers how every project can improve the layout, natural light, circulation and everyday experience of the whole house.
“When I design an extension, I think beyond the space being added to what it can do for the entire home. I believe every home should have a wow factor and feel amazing to live in. That is the standard I want every project to reach.”
This ambition is supported by a thorough understanding of planning policies. Clients receive honest advice about what is likely to gain approval, where difficulties may arise and which direction will deliver the strongest result. The aim is to create a home that works properly, makes the investment worthwhile and gives the client a property they can genuinely be proud of.
